Paula Comella and Marharita-Sophia Tavpash improve to 11- 1 as a pair in doubles action. Comella and Tavpash defeated a pair from Notre Dame (8-0) and pair from Michigan (8-4) to lock in a spot in Saturday's round of 16 in the Doubles Main Draw of the ITA Midwest Regional Championships.
Tavpash and Marta Bettinelli were among the 16 collegiate tennis players that advanced to the round of 16 in singles qualifiers. Valparaiso's Jelena Vuljanic denied Tavpash from being featured in the singles main draw after defeating the BGSU junior in three games (6-2, 3-6, 6-3).
