Bowling Green State University men's soccer coach Eric Nichols and his staff have received a prestigious honor. On Tuesday (May 11), the BGSU staff was named a Regional Staff of the Year by United Soccer Coaches.
Nichols and his staff were named the North Region Staff of the Year. The honor is the result of a vote by other coaches in the region. The BGSU staff will now be placed on the National Staff of the Year ballot.
Nichols and his staff, which includes associate head coach Sean Teepen, assistant coach Nate Kopunek and volunteer assistant Tom Wrobel, guided the 2020(-21) Falcons to the Mid-American Conference regular-season title and a berth in the NCAA Championships.
