AMHERST, Mass. — The Bowling Green State University men’s basketball team stunned the University of Massachusetts Minutemen on the road for a 101-100 win in overtime on Saturday.
After trailing by six points with 41 seconds left in regulation, Javontae Campbell scored 11 points before the buzzer to tie the game at 86. From there, the Falcons never fell behind in overtime before holding on to the win.
Campbell’s run down the stretch helped him finish with season-high 47 points on 13 of 21 shooting from the floor and a 20 of 27 effort from the free throw line.
