BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University men’s basketball coach Todd Simon was able to retain arguably the best returning defender in the Mid-American Conference in Javontae Campbell for his 2025-26 squad.
The third-year Falcons’ coach didn’t stop there, though, when it came to loading up on quality defenders.
Between Campbell, shot-blocking specialist Troy Glover II, and a slew of long and physical players at every position, BGSU has the capability of being a defensive juggernaut for the upcoming season. Defense was a critical reason why the Falcons won seven of their last 10 regular season games to reach the 2025 MAC tournament, and with the players currently in the program, that strength could continue going forward.
