BGSU men break down in second half of loss at Miami

OXFORD — It took nearly 29 minutes for Bowling Green to grab its first lead of the day, and one awful stretch to undo all of the work.

As soon as BG earned its first lead of the game Saturday at Millett Hall, Miami rallied with a 16-0 run during which the Falcons simply could not stop the bleeding, the deciding stretch in the last-place RedHawks’ 73-55 victory against the first-place Falcons.

Miami outscored BG 22-2 during the final 11 minutes, during which the Falcons failed to make a field goal.

Daeqwon Plowden was sensational for BG — the junior forward had 26 points on just 11 field-goal attempts — but the Falcons shot only 4-for-23 from the field in the second half as a team.
