BGSU hockey outpaces Ferris State 9-5

BOWLING GREEN — The Bowling Green State University hockey team got a hat trick from Noah Morneau to highlight a 9-5 win over Ferris State in a high-scoring affair Friday at Slater Family Ice Arena.

BGSU, now at 3-3-3 on the season, led 2-0 after the first period thanks to a pair of Dominik Rymon goals, his second and third of the season.

The two squads went back and forth in the second period. Ferris State (2-9-0) trimmed the deficit in half (2-1) on Josh Zary’s power-play goal less than a minute into the period.

The teams then exchanged goals 12 seconds apart later in the frame.
