BGSU hockey falls to Robert Morris 3-0 in home opener, splits season-opening series

BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University’s hockey team had its chances to score, but couldn’t find the back of the net as the Falcons fell in their 2023-24 home opener 3-0 to Robert Morris on Sunday at Slater Family Ice Arena.

The Falcons (1-1), who blanked the Colonials 3-0 in Saturday’s season opener on the road, had a 33-27 advantage in shots on goal and a 61-48 edge in shots. Robert Morris’ Chad Veltri, though, had a clean sheet in goal after registering 40 saves in the opener.

“I thought we had a good start. I thought our energy was good,” BGSU interim coach Curtis Carr said.
