BGSU hockey falls 5-2 to Northern Michigan

BOWLING GREEN — Three unanswered goals by the Northern Michigan in the second and third periods dashed any hopes of a win for the Bowling Green State University, as the Falcons fell 5-2 on Friday at Slater Family Ice Arena.

Two of those three Wildcat goals were by Griffin Loughran — his 14th and 15th of the season — with the latter being an empty-netter.

Northern Michigan’s Darien Craighead scored first in the first period, but the Falcons knotted it up toward the end of the period with a power-play goal by Alex Barber, his sixth of the season.
