BGSU hockey completes comeback to take down Ferris State

BIG RAPIDS, Mich. — With three unanswered goals in the third period, Bowling Green State University hockey rallied for a 4-3 win at Ferris State on Friday night.

The Falcons fell behind quickly as Luigi Benincasa and Zach Faremouth each scored within four minutes after the opening puck drop to give the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead.

Ryan O’Hara got BGSU on the board via an assist from Michael Bevilacqua with 12:35 left in the second period, but Ferris State restored its two-goal lead with Faremouth’s second of the game.

The final period was all Bowling Green as Adam Schankula scored with 11:56 left, Quinn Emerson tied the game less than three minutes later, and Bevilacqua delivered the go-ahead goal with 6:20 remaining.
