BGSU football can't slow down Cincinnati passing attack in 34-20 loss

CINCINNATI — Bowling Green State University’s passing game with quarterback Drew Pyne and a slew of skill position players showcased its potential on Saturday afternoon.

Unfortunately for the Falcons, so did Cincinnati’s.

With BGSU committed to stopping the run, Bearcats quarterback Brendan Sorsby torched the Falcons’ secondary with 333 passing yards and three touchdowns as Cincinnati topped BGSU 34-20 in a nonconference football game at Nippert Stadium.

“[Sorsby] did a great job,” first-year BGSU head coach Eddie George said. “Last week, he threw for [69] yards [in a 20-17 loss to Nebraska] and looked like he struggled quite a bit on tape, even going back to last season with passing the ball.
