KENT, Ohio — Bowling Green State University built a 21-3 lead midway through the third quarter, but Kent State scored the final 21 points to come away with a 24-21 Mid-American Conference football victory over the Falcons on Saturday at Dix Stadium.
BGSU suffered its second straight loss in falling to 3-5 (1-3 MAC). Kent State improved to 3-5 (2-2).
The Falcons, who were playing without quarterbacks Drew Pyne and Lucian Anderson III, as well as running back Cameron Pettaway, took an 18-point lead with 8:47 left in the third quarter when quarterback Baron May scored on a 1-yard touchdown run.
