BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University’s baseball team got a couple of reinforcements at just the right time, and that could be critical this week for the Mid-American Conference tournament.
Sam Seidel, a first-team All-Mid-American Conference second baseman in 2024, and Brady Birchmeier, a key component to BGSU’s power at the plate, returned to the Falcons’ lineup on Friday against Northern Illinois after missing the previous month due to injury. The duo came through in the eighth inning of the Falcons’ 4-2 home victory over the Huskies in Saturday’s regular-season finale when Birchmeier doubled and Seidel followed with a game-winning two-run home run.
