BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green senior forward Daeqwon Plowden was named the Mid-American Conference player of the week on Monday.
Plowden averaged 18.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game in two contests for the Falcons last week. Plowden scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a 88-81 win at arch-rival Toledo on Saturday.
The native of Philadelphia shot 54.2 percent (13-of-24) from the floor and went 6-for-7 (85.7 percent) from the foul line on the week.
In a 71-67 home loss to Kent State last Tuesday, Plowden had 15 points and eight rebounds.
Plowden then posted the sixth 20-point game of his career in BGSU's road against the Rockets.
