BOWLING GREEN — This will mark the fourth year in a row that the Bowling Green State University football team will face Northern Illinois.
But this meeting is different than the previous three, which came in the Mid-American Conference championship game. The contest, which kicks off at 8 tonight and can be seen on ESPNU, will not be repeated a month from now at Detroit’s Ford Field, the host of the MAC title contest.
The Falcons already have been eliminated from bowl contention with a 1-7 record and will see their string of three consecutive MAC East Division titles end as they are 0-4 in league play.
