BG hockey continues hot start, beats Norhern Michigan

BOWLING GREEN — Three different players scored goals Friday as the Bowling Green State University hockey team beat Northern Michigan 3-1 in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association game at the Slater Family Ice Arena.

The Falcons (6-1-1, 1-0-0 WCHA) got tallies from Taylor Schneider, Sam Craggs, and Brandon Kruse as they recorded a goal in each period.

The Wildcats (2-5-0, 1-2) got a goal from Troy Loggins.

Ryan Bednard had 22 saves to improve to 6-0-1 for Bowling Green, which is ranked No. 9 in the latest USCHO.com Division I poll. Atte Tolvanen finished with 24 saves for Northern Michigan.
