BOWLING GREEN — Anchoring the middle of Bowling Green’s defense is a pair of linebackers who have formed a bond with each other on and off the field.
If a tackle is made in the heart of the field, it’s typically by linebackers Brock Horne or Darren Anders.
BGSU’s primary run stoppers aren’t just neighbors on the field. They are also roommates turned best friends, and the free flow of football is always a hot topic between the two.
“We’re super close to each other,” the sophomore Horne said. “Being so close and knowing we can pick each other up and have that synergy, we can lead the defense that way.
