Best case, worst case for BGSU football's big questions in 2023

BOWLING GREEN — It seems like not too long ago Bowling Green State University was capping off its first postseason game in seven years with a Quick Lane Bowl matchup against New Mexico State in late December.

The spring, summer, and early part of fall practices have flown by, and the Falcons — under fifth-year head coach Scot Loeffler — are just three weeks away from opening the 2023 campaign with a trip to Lynchburg, Va., to take on Liberty on Sept. 2.

A talented roster that includes players who have developed within the program, as well as intriguing standouts the Falcons have brought in via the transfer portal, highlights BGSU (6-7 overall, 5-3 Mid-American Conference in 2022) as it hopes to build off their best season since 2015.
