Bowling Green State University women's soccer standout Elisa Baeron has been named the Mid-American Conference's Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week. Baeron earns the award for the first time in her BGSU career.
Falcons Face Penn State in NCAA Championships First Round
Baeron, a native of Selsingen, Lower Saxony, Germany, was named the Mid-American Conference Tournament MVP as the Falcons won the league tourney title over the weekend.
On Sunday afternoon (Nov. 4), in the tourney's championship match, Baeron -- who arrived at BGSU mere months after the Falcons had completed a winless 2013 campaign -- converted her penalty kick in the sixth round of the PK phase against Ball State, giving BG the title.
