Analysis: Four observations from Bowling Green's loss at Akron

AKRON — A Bowling Green football season already in dire straits saw its lowest point Saturday when the Falcons were crushed on the road, 31-3, against previously winless Akron.

The Falcons outgained the Zips, but never led in the game as Akron scored 28 unanswered points after BG tied the game at 3.

Four observations from the game:

1. Signs of improvement have been negligible.

The Falcons have seen some signs of promise from a few young players — but not nearly enough from the team as a whole. Jeremiah Banks-Wall could be the tackle of the future, while running back Terion Stewart and linebacker Darren Anders have done good things early in their careers.
