Analysis: 3 things to watch for during Bowling Green men's basketball's offseason

BOWLING GREEN — The final horn Friday was a saving grace for Bowling Green State University’s men’s basketball team.

With the season on the line, and in a must-win game in order to have a chance to make the Mid-American Conference tournament, the Falcons were pummeled by Toledo in the largest final margin in Battle of I-75 history.

A benevolent buzzer ended the game, and the scoreboard read Toledo 96, Bowling Green 56.

The Falcons failed to make the MAC tournament for the first time since its re-formatting to an eight-team field. They finished 13-18 overall and 6-14 within the MAC, and lost nine of 11 games to close the season.
