Bowling Green State University softball standout Alex Sorgi has been named to the All-Mid-American Conference Team. Sorgi, a senior centerfielder, has earned all-conference second-team honors.
The All-MAC Teams and specialty award winners were announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon (May 7).
Sorgi, a native of Shelby Township, Mich. (Henry Ford II), started all 51 games this season, and started all 159 of the Falcons' games over the last three years. She hit .322 this year, good for second on the team, and led the 2019 club in at-bats (174), runs (34), hits (56), triples (three), total bases (66), walks (21) and stolen bases.
