BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The captain of the 2019-20 Bowling Green State University hockey team, Alec Rauhauser, has signed on with the Florida Panthers organization. Rauhauser will join former teammate Ryan Bednard who signed with the Panthers a year ago and spent the 2019-20 season with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits (ECHL) and the Springfield Thunderbirds (AHL).
This past season, Rauhauser was named the WCHA Defensive Player of the Year and was a member of the All-WCHA First Team and WCHA All-Academic team. In the Orange and Brown, Rauhauser played in all 38 games, totaling a team-high 35 points.
