The Mid-American Conference series opener was played at Steller Field on a chilly and overcast afternoon.
Bowling Green starter grinded out 6.0 innings of solid baseball. The only damage against the sophomore was a two-out, two-strike, two-RBI single in the top of the fifth inning. WMU's Blake Dunn, the MAC's leader in batting average, delivered the clutch hit that gave the Broncos a 2-1 lead.
