AKRON — It’s been a long time since Bowling Green was 1-0 in the Mid-American Conference -— seven years, to be exact.

2015 is also the last year the Falcons reached a bowl game.

Bowling Green has a long way to go before it starts thinking about December football, but the Falcons are in good shape after dispatching Akron 31-28 Saturday in the Rubber City.
