Bowling Green came up short on its trip up north to Detroit for the Quick Lane Bowl, falling 30-24 at the hands of Minnesota on Tuesday afternoon at Ford Field.
It was the Falcons’ second straight loss in this bowl, as they were defeated 24-19 by New Mexico State in the 2022 game. With the defeat, BG drops to 5-10 all-time in bowls. It is 1-3 in bowl games played at Ford Field, despite having more success in Mid-American Conference Championship games at the stadium, winning MAC titles there in both 2013 and 2015.
It was a disappointing end to the season for the Falcons, who dropped two of their last three games, with the other blemish coming against rival Toledo on Nov.
