BOWLING GREEN — First-year Bowling Green State University football head coach Eddie George didn’t have a hard time selling to his team the challenges the Falcons’ season-opening opponent, FCS foe Lafayette, present.
The former Tennessee State head coach and several of his top players know how dangerous a solid FCS program can be, considering they just came from one.
“We respect all but fear none, and that’s any opponent,” said George, the former Heisman Trophy-winning running back at Ohio State. “You have to respect them, and it’s always been about our preparation anyway. How we prepare, are we preparing like champions, are we exhibiting the habits of a champion, and that extends beyond the playing field.
