DETROIT — Eriq George was pretty excited for his father, Eddie, when the latter decided to accept the head coaching position for Bowling Green State University’s football program earlier this year.
He was a little bit confused, however, about where his family would be heading next.
“Originally, I thought he was going to Bowling Green, Kentucky. We’re from Nashville, so I’m thinking ‘Oh, we’re going only 45 minutes up the road, it’s not that bad,’” Eriq George said during Mid-American Conference media day on Thursday at Ford Field in Detroit. “Next thing you know, I put ‘Bowling Green State University’ in my GPS, and it said a seven-hour ride.
