Scott Parker says more long-term planning was a major factor in his decision to become Bournemouth's new manager.
The 40-year-old left Fulham following their relegation from the Premier League to join their Championship rivals on a three-year deal last month.
"At this moment in my career, what's important is to be around a football club that has a vision," said Parker.
"There's a long-term goal here that fits to where I needed to be."
After seeing their five-year spell in the top flight end in 2020, Bournemouth finished sixth in the second tier last season.
