Scott Parker denied first victory as Bruges boss by Brandon Mechele's late own-goal after Casper Nielsen had fired the home side ahead in league game against Anderlecht

Scott Parker got his first point as manager of Club Bruges at the second time of asking with a 1-1 draw at home to Anderlecht on Sunday.

Parker, 42, was sacked by Bournemouth four months ago after a 9-0 defeat at Liverpool and took over the Belgian side on December 31.

Bruges, who face Benfica in the Champions League next month, lost his first game at Genk but took the lead through Casper Nielsen before a Brandon Mechele own-goal gifted Anderlecht a point.
