Nottingham Forest are 'desperate to offload' out-of-favour Harry Arter... with Steve Cooper keen to make room in his 25-man squad after signing 30 new players since promotion to Premier League

Nottingham Forest are desperate to offload out-of favour midfielder Harry Arter, according to reports.

The 33-year-old has not appeared for Steve Cooper's side in over two years having been sent out on loan twice last season.

He was also not given a squad number in Forest's attempts to move him on and the club's stance has not changed according to The Sun.

Arter joined Forest from Bournemouth in September 2020 and made just 13 league appearances before falling out of favour under Chris Hughton.

The Republic of Ireland international is thought to currently be on £40,000-a-week after a clause in his contract allowed his wages to be doubled last summer.
