Maya Yoshida wants Southampton to forget FA Cup loss as they aim to avoid Premier League relegation: 'We know the Bournemouth game is crucial'

Southampton must put their FA Cup disappointment behind them and focus on securing their Premier League status in the remainder of the season, defender Maya Yoshida has said.

Saints were beaten 2-0 by Chelsea in their FA Cup semi-final at Wembley last weekend and Mark Hughes' side, who are 18th in the league table with 29 points from 34 games, now face a potentially difficult climax to their poor campaign.

Japan international Yoshida, 29, is aware of the need to beat 11th-placed Bournemouth on Saturday with games against Everton, Swansea City and newly-crowned champions Manchester City to follow.
