Celtic are hoping to confirm Eddie Howe as their new manager by the end of this week, according to the Sun.
The former Bournemouth boss may not not start the job until June however, as the Scottish side look to close in on Neil Lennon's successor.
Howe and the football club are not looking to rush the final stages of their negotiations and an official announcement is likely to take place later in the week.
He has verbally agreed to accept the job offer to take over at Celtic Park in time for next season.
