David Brooks has revealed he is now 'cancer free' more than six months after being diagnosed with Stage II Hodgkin Lymphoma.

The 24-year-old Bournemouth and Wales winger first told of the shock diagnosis in October 2021.

But after months out of action, Brooks revealed on social media that his treatment was successful and thanked the medical staff who helped him on his journey to recovery.

'It has been a few months since my last update and in that time I have thankfully completed my cancer treatment,' Brooks said in a statement.

'I would like to say a huge thank you to all of the incredible medical staff for their amazing work and support throughout the process.
