Bournemouth proved too good for Huddersfield as they scored four past their opponents in the 94th different Premier League fixture to be played in history.
Callum Wilson scored twice in the first half before Harry Arter added a third with 20 minutes remaining in the match. Wilson then completed his hat-trick late on along the south coast.
The only blot for the Cherries was the dismissal of Simon Francis for two yellow cards in first-half injury time.
