The Yankees sound off on another Red Sox series: Following the end of the MLB regular season on Sunday, the postseason field was officially set. For the Red Sox, it means yet another playoff series against the rival Yankees.
The two teams meet in the wild-card round starting on Tuesday at Yankee Stadium in a best-of-three series.
Asked about the prospect of facing Boston, New York manager Aaron Boone referenced Red Sox ace Garrett Crochet.
“Great team. Obviously have had a great season. I’m sure we’re going to see a great pitcher on Tuesday,” Boone told reporters, “but I know our guys are all looking forward to it too.
