Rafael Devers smashed his first home run as a San Fransisco Giant on Saturday, likely his first of many with the franchise that traded for him less than a week prior.
As if that pain wasn’t still fresh for Red Sox fans, Devers added salt into those wounds by recording the two-run shot against his former ball club.
Boston blanked Devers in the first matchup against their former star on Friday, holding him to 0-5 at the plate in a 7-5 win in San Fransisco. Devers didn’t suffer the same fate on Saturday. He got going early, launching the home run in the bottom of the third inning and extending the Giants lead to 3-0.
