ST. PETERSBURG -- The Red Sox effectively used a mixed bag of arms to lead a 2-1 win over the Rays on Sunday afternoon at Tropicana Field.
The win gave the Red Sox a 3-1 series win, along with their third-consecutive one-run victory.
Hector Velazquez -- whom the Red Sox grabbed out of the Mexican League prior to the 2017 season, held the Rays to one run over 5 2/3 innings before giving way to Marcus Walden, who made his Major League debut on Sunday after spending 11 years in the Minor Leagues.
