On Tuesday, Triston Casas answered questions regarding his season-ending injury and the timeline for his return.

“I’ve heard a different amount of months. I haven’t heard anything over a year though. So, as of right now, our goal is Opening Day next year,” said Casas.

Casas played 29 games before rupturing his patellar tendon on May 2. This is his second injury in two years as last season he only competed in 63 games due to torn cartilage in his ribcage.

“I’m living my worst nightmare right now,” Casas said.
