Thursday’s spring training report: Red Sox pitchers knocked around by Twins

SCORE: Twins 12, Red Sox 1

RECORD: 6-7

BREAKDOWN: Adam Rosales went 4 for 4 with two runs and two RBIs, and Jake Cave and Ronald Torreyes each had three hits in the Twins’ rout. The Sox scratched out just five hits, with Rafael Devers’s first-inning double the only one for extra bases. He also had the lone RBI. Starter Brian Johnson took the loss, allowing five hits and three earned runs while recording just four outs.

PLAYER OF THE DAY: In terms of production, however modest, it was probably Devers.
