There’s a big disparity between the Red Sox and Yankees in terms of ballpark food safety

Red Sox fans pay a steeper than average price for food and drink while attending a game at Fenway Park.

But Sox fans can take solace in knowing that, while pricey, Fenway’s food is comparatively less likely to make you sick than what’s being served at other MLB ballparks.

Sports Illustrated recently compiled data from 28 local health departments in cities in which MLB stadiums are located and gave Fenway Park a rating of 2nd-best, behind Seattle’s Safeco Field, in the mahors.

In a recent inspection, City of Boston health inspectors graded Fenway to have had 30 total violations, with only two “critical violations.
