In the first game of this week’s three-game set against the Braves, Max Fried continued his dominant season and Colten Brewer continued getting rocked as the Braves took the victory. The bullpen behind Brewer was solid, allowing only one run over five innings, but by the time the bullpen got in the game the damage had been done as Brewer allowed five earned over four-plus innings. Alex Verdugo did his best to generate some offense, smacking three doubles in a losing effort. Tuesday’s game was another bullpen game that Ryan Weber started, going four innings and allowing only two earned runs.
