The Red Seat: Episode 107-Opportunity Knocks for Michael Chavis

Related Topics: Spring training, Michael Chavis

The Red Sox have now played sixteen real(ish) games of baseball in the Grapefruit League. This is good news! Now I have actual baseball to watch and listen to as I live my life. Hilariously enough this team is 6-10, good enough for last place in the Grapefruit League proving once again that spring training stats don’t matter. What does matter is trends that we can spot during spring training that might tell us something about the upcoming year. Two things have been very apparent to me. One, Michael Chavis can really hit and will force his way to Boston at some point this year.
