It’s safe to say that Tanner Houck, possessing an 8.04 ERA and having yielded 39 earned runs in 43.2 innings pitched, is not off to a great start in 2025.
The 2024 Red Sox All-Star dropped to 0-3 after yielding 11 runs in just 2.1 innings amid a 14-2 loss to the Tigers on Monday. Houck, 28, has been in a funk since the Midsummer Classic last year. Following the latest debacle, he was candid with his postgame thoughts.
“Probably the most lost I’ve ever been,” Houck explained, per Boston Globe Red Sox reporter Peter Abraham.
