If Thursday night's was a preview of the upcoming Division Series, the Red Sox just might be out of their league. And that’s not even the bad part.
The Red Sox actually have to win their division first, and that’s still not a done deal.
Overpowered from the very beginning, the Red Sox were pummeled, 12-2, in the opener of their four-game series against the Astros. It was the Sox’ third loss in four games, and there are only three in the regular season left to play, all against this mighty Houston lineup.
If the current standings hold, the Red Sox and Astros will meet again next week in the first round of the playoffs.
