The Red Sox squared off against the Angels once again and once again the offense was no where to be found. The Sox had Rick Porcello on the mound vs. Garrett Richards for the Angels. Porcello gave up a couple of runs early, but it didn’t really matter much since the Sox offense would give him no run support. The Sox offense has looked lifeless coming out of the All Star Break.
Porcello gave up his first run of the game in the 2nd inning when he threw a wild pitch and Freese scored from 3rd base. Porcello then added to the damage in the 3rd inning when he gave up a solo homerun to Calhoun.
