Sandoval exits with right quad tightness

BOSTON -- Red Sox third baseman Pablo Sandoval left Saturday's game against the Blue Jays due to right quad tightness, the team announced.

Utility man Jeff Bianchi replaced Sandoval at third base, as the Sox took the field in the seventh. Sandoval struck out in the previous inning swinging at an outside knuckleball from R.A. Dickey.

Sandoval belted a double and laced a two-run single up the middle in his first two at-bats of the game. He is 8-for-23 (.348) since taking two days off last week to clear his head.
