Report: E-Rod advised to rest 3-4 weeks

Red Sox left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez has been advised to rest his injured right knee three to four weeks, according to reports.

Renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews gave the recommendation that Rodriguez take the rest to heal his right knee subluxation rather than opt for surgery. CSNNE.com was first to report, while the team has not confirmed it.

Rodriguez landed on the 10-day disabled list on Friday, the day after his worst start of the season. He slipped and fell to the ground prior to the game against the Orioles while throwing on flat ground, but he felt fine to pitch, eventually giving up seven earned runs over 5 2/3 innings.
