A day after one of the most satisfying wins of the season, the Red Sox host the Blue Jays for the first matchup of a four-game series behind Nick Pivetta (7:10 p.m., NESN, ESPN out-of-market).
Thomas Hatch will start for Toronto after being skipped last week on a rainout day. Hatch, who has extremely limited time in the majors, is replacing Alek Manoah, who hurt himself falling on the dugout steps and was potentially in line to go today but is throwing a simulated game instead. This will be Hatch’s first appearance in the show this year.
