I’m at a loss for words about the Red Sox right now, because they are bad and it’s pretty straightforward that they are bad. Tonight at 7 p.m. on NESN and ESPN, Eduardo Rodriguez (2-2, 5.88 ERA) will try to keep himself under control like he did last time out against Detroit (6 innings, 1 run) and not like he did the last time he faced Oakland (3.2 innings, 6 runs). He’ll be matched by righty Frankie Montas (4-1, 3.10 ERA), who, at 26 years old, is putting up the numbers we always expected of E-Rod, but, unfortunately, for the other team.
