The Red Sox are paying homage to their famed ballpark as part of their new threads.
Boston unveiled its new Nike City Connect jersey ahead of Friday’s home game against the Atlanta Braves — with the newly dubbed “Fenway Greens” uniforms drawing from the distinct green hue featured on the ballpark’s historic Green Monster in left field.
The “Fenway Greens” will be worn on select home games throughout the season, including May 23. Boston’s marathon-inspired yellow and blue uniforms will remain a core jersey for the team moving forward — replacing the blue alternate jersey that Boston donned during its clinching game of the 2018 World Series.
